Video Tape Transfer to DVD

The time is now to convert your tapes to DVD.  Tapes do deteriorate over time, but most importantly the players to view them on are no longer available for purchase. Tape formats don't offer the quality, convience or preservation properties as the DVD.

We convert all consumer tape formats including VHS tape to DVD. We also work with most any other tape format including: Betamax tape, VHS-C tape (Compact VHS)  S-VHS (Super VHS), 8mm & HI 8mm  tape, Digital 8mm tape, DV or Digital video tape and HDV tape.

Here's how it works

We time out your tapes and log any information written on them.  We will fit as much video as possible onto one DVD. We can put up to 6 hours of the higher quality formats (all non VHS formats)  on one DVD. We put as much content on each disc as possible.  We will not charge you for unused disc space.

From each tape we create a chapter on your DVD so you will be to easily access each tape from the main menu.  We use the information from the written log to title the chapters.  Or if you would rather we can number the chapters.

 Betamax Tape Format

Betamax (sometimes called Beta) is a home videocassette tape recording format developed by Sony, released on May 10, 1975. The cassettes contain 1/2-inch (12.7mm)-wide videotape in a design similar to the earlier, professional 3/4-inch (19.05mm) U-matic format. The format is generally considered obsolete.  This format was far superior to the VHS tape but did not win the battle of the tape standards. Learn more.

We can transfer all three speeds of Betamax tapes Beta 1, Beta 2, and Beta3. Contact us for a quote.
